West Branch Regional Medical Center is at the core of the extensive health care system in the West Branch Area and is northern Michigan's newest hospital. It features 24/7/365 care with an emergency room and after hours walk-in care.

Public Safety
The West Branch Area offers a full time city police force, the Ogemaw County Sheriff's Department, and a Michigan State Police post. In addition, several fire departments and a full time EMS staff are available as needed.
